I had 4 mountain bikes nicked in the space of 6 years when I was a teenager. after the last time I gave up on mountain biking because I was sick of having them pinched. I took it up again in my late 20s and totally regret having given up for that long.

For balance the police retrieved my bike and returned it to me. The culprit was also sent to jail for 6 months.

So it might even be worth having an adjoining door fitted after the burgalry if the bikes were expensive enough. I have a spare internal door in the garage, I might recess it into the wall so it looks like it’s adjoining…
