My Bastid light battery has what I think is a loose connection. If I shoogle the cable that comes from under the shrink wrap the light flashes as the connection is made.

Given that its over a year old and I suspect out of warranty and that a replacement may take weeks to arrive can I fix it myself. What is under the shrink wrap? I’m hoping for an obviously failed fixable connection.

seconded, unless you can use a voltmeter and fix it.

So, I opened it up and the lead wires that are soldered to the circuit board were bare and contacting each other. I’ll get my soldering iron out.

Mc, as you have opened up the sleeving to repair it, best keep it in plastic bag to keep the damp out. Any further problems please feel free to email me.
