I’ve got a Dialed Bikes Prince Albert (no sniggering at the back) and I’m thinking of getting it acid dipped to bare metal. Has anybody ever done this, how much does it tend to cost and how do you go about re-oxidizing it?

I would imagine somewhere that does anodizing would be able to acid dip it, I also have a feeling Mr Muscle has been mentioned for getting anodized alley back to bear metal. As for oxidising I would imagine mother nature would help out here 🙂

PA is steel, so search along those lines. Al oxidation is protective, Steel oxidation is rust.

There are some Curtis frames around with laquer on bare steel. Worth asking them, or Mike @ Dialled.

I emailed Mike at DB and it’s far more complicated than I thought 🙂
