Race Face DH shorts. Light enough for all round riding but very tough.

Sombrio Badass and Pinner shorts for me. They are equally at home on world cup DH courses ans they are on an all day mountain epic. Very tough, quick drying and packed with loads of well thought out clever features.
and best of all, both pairs for under £30 brand new with tags from the bay.
Enjoy.

had some scott ones - 4 years and counting - reckon I've got at least another season in em.
humvees - comfy and full of pockets. have required a few sewing sessions though. My croth must have some extreme corrosive properties though.

yep endura's seams do come apart, had to repair a few of my pairs probably not helped by sitting ont eh nose of the saddle for really steep climbs though.

The old Endura were good (general products) but anything I bought in the last three years has been shite - I won't buy the brand anymore.
I've got some Oakley baggies too, tough as a tough thing. They came with a liner which was awful, I cut that out and used my Swobo liner - fantastic. Worth it just for the outer shell. It must be getting on for 5 years and not a tear.
I've recently got into the Swobo brand - quality is second to none IMO.I bought a pair of the Minkman at the Stif sale £35.99 incl liner, I haven't used them yet but they do look and feel very well made. Worth checking out at that price!

thread bump: On the basis of comments above I am now the owner of a pair of Spesh Enduro baggies. Not ridden in them yet but they look and feel great when wearing and seem really well put together. So am happy

Yes I do wear shorts out in a year to 18 months but shop in charity shops and wear cheap no fear stuff from lillywhites
Genius idea, off to the charity shops on pay day!

Anything that doesn't have Endura written on them, would be a good start!
Surely they must be taking note of all the returns/negative comments by now....

Troy Lee Moto shorts

>But they are nothing to my Kona shorts that they don't make any more
If that's the original (50-75quid ?) Air Times they used to do with the big rubber logo pad and keprotec stretch panels - indeedy ! My OH got mine from a sale in Halfrauds, and I picked up a long-panted version of 'em from an Evans clearance a few years ago.
Nothing like the thin sweaty nylon crappy equivalent they did later (I've got a pair of those too, only use 'em for diy...)
Occasionally you see some 28" waist old stock appear on fleabay for about a fiver...

Sombrio seem to be the best I've had.
Just got some massive shorts from M&S though, will see how they get on.Posted 2 years ago # -
