I have an old hybrid to use for training rides, however it has forward facing dropouts and the rear axle keeps pulling out on the drive side, creating a jammed skiddy mess. It has serrated track nuts as well as a washer on the non-drive side but even my Conan like strength can’t do everything up tight enough to survive a ride. Any ideas?

Feel free to laugh too, it’s good for the soul

Buy new track nuts. Cheap ones often do not do the job. Sounds crazy but it can work!

    Also check dropouts straight.

Would some from Halfords cut it? The current ones are pretty old

Probably…I think they need to be really really **** to not grip enough and the merely **** ones work OK 😀
