  • Avid juicy pad springs?

Does any pad manufacturer actually make the springs well enough not to need bending in order to do their job properly?
    Just wondering, like 😉

Never had to bend them to install new ones myself? I use SS Kevlar and they are just as good as the Avid ones IME.

I agree with you Gary, they’re always p*sh imo! SS ones can be bad enough that they don’t even slot into the caliber without sorting them

Never had a problem with genuine Avid ones, SS or discobrakes pads.

Had a set of fibrax pads that wouldn’t fit into the calliper because the backing was to big though!

I’ll take the comments so far (other than yours Mark) with a pinch of salt. Avid, Goodridge and Superstar are the only ones I’ve fitted in tha last year or so and all need a little bending to fit nicely. had fibrax and Avids years ago and don’t remember having to.
I have 4x brand new sets of SS sintered here and none of them fit the pads nicely.
it’s not a big deal, just a slight PITA
