My son has started doing some training sessions at Thameside cycle track with the Eastlands velo club. Which means I end up sitting in a car for 4 hours not doing very much. I had a nice nap and did a fair bit of reading this week but I don't fancy doing that for subsequent weeks.
I couldn't help noticing there a load of dirty great hills to the East which look pretty interesting.
I will be parking up here

Can anyone who knows the area give me a decent guide for on and off road rides? I could try and map something out myself but some tips would be useful. And help is appreciated. Obviously it's difficult talking about distances without knowing just how hilly it is round there but I'm guessing up to 50 miles on road as a starter, maybe 25-30 miles offroad. I'd prefer on road to be honest.
