    please help me….

i’ve just bought a new Dell computer because it was fairly cheap and has lots os RAM (was told this is a good thing) and lots of storage. so far so good….

that is until i go online and want to use the arrow keys to scroll up and down. it won’t let me!
instead the cursor jumps around the page beside the text and pictures that are on the page.

my old, knackered Toshiba allowed me to scroll up and down a page using the arrow keys. how do i set up the Dell to do the same?

the GF also has a Dell and it drives me nuts when using her computer.

    thanks

Have you got a little scroll area on the edge of the trackpad? ‘s what I use on my Dell.

As above, go to the mouse settings, and enable the scroll function on the right hand side of the track pad. You will never use the cursor keys to scroll down the page again 🙂
