[#3561762]

I'd like to have all emails from any give user show up as a single line entry in the inbox ()
(eg for the many bike shops that email me with offers too good to miss, I want all collated into 1 line for each company)

Then I want those single line entries to order themselves by date of last message received

Is that feasible somehow ?

You could create label for the email addresses you're interested in, then set up a filter to put a specific email address into a specific label.

Would be a pain to do though if you've got lots of addresses you want to organise.

I must be missing something but I thought this is what gmail does as standard - all emails from each address are grouped into 'conversations' which then expand downwards when you click on them.

I don't think so sharkbait - if you sent me a string of emails back & forth about this, they'd be grouped as they have the same title but next time you emailed with a different title it'd be kept separate (is on mine anyway)
