Seems that when these were launched the naysayers were pretty vocal about doubting their durability. They’ve been around just about long enough now to be getting a reasonably measured opinion. Anyone get any first hand experience?

I’m also looking at Spank Spikes which seem to get great write ups, but not as ultra thin.

I went with Spank Spikes in the end, for that very reason.

Finally I’ve seen a review by someone who’s actually ridden them. Apparently the bodies held up well, but the bearings got quite rough quite quickly. The thing that’s putting me off though, is that the external axle thing apparently puts your feet quite a bit further apart, feeling a bit awkward when you’re riding. I guess that will apply to the new Specialized pedals too, if they ever actually come to market.

Meanwhile my Nukeproof Neutrons are still going strong two years later.
