    Hello.

Anyone got experience of Shimano MT15 wheels?

In the process of building up an Inbred frame, and spotted these on Merlin for £80. They’re apparently as light as the other wheels I was considering for my £150 budget and as I’ve got a £20 voucher to use, seem rather bargainous.

Will mostly be used for XC, local woods type stuff.

Not worried about the centrelock thing, as going to be using Shimano brakes.

    Thanks.

I’ve got them for my budget ss commuter. Perfectly fine for steady xc use for the price. 25mm so will take a wide tyre. Remember they are cup/cone

Yeah got some last summer for my summer HT / winter road bike. A teeny bit heavy (but for the price, meh) and can take a 2.35 maxxis. Good wheels for general XC use, and I’m more than happy with them TBH.

Had a pair on my scandal for a year, fine wheels for the price.

Spokes more expensive to replace as flat blade.

Thanks all. Not worried about cup and cone, got them on my full sus and never had a problem. Happy to service them.

Between the Shimanos and a pair of Mavic XM319s with SLX hub. Seems good value at Rose Bikes for £98 delivered.
