A couple of years ago, an intrepid party of Singletrackworlrders set off from Ullapool to get to the East coast and back again in a day. Piemonster and I are going to recreate this venture on Saturday 9th August and I thought I’d throw it open to the forum in the event that anyone wants to join us.

There’s a good description of the route here.
So, we’re talking somewhere in the region of 70-75 miles, 20+ of this is on tarmac. Still swithering about which coast to start and finish on but I thought I’d give folk some notice in case they want to stick it in their diaries.
It’ll be a fairly long but easily paced day as neither of us want to turn it into a race.
Expect an early start and late end (lights for contingency only though).
Usual rules apply – neither of us are guides so everyone is responsible for themselves. That includes spares/tubes/tools plus clothing and food.
Meeting time/locations will be forthcoming.
