  • Anyone own a 7.875 x 2.25" / 7.875 x 2.00" Fox RP23? Stroke length question…..

Does anyone own a Fox RP23 in either of the above two eye to eye / stroke lengths? I think in millimeters the measurements are 200X57 / 200×51.

I’ve just picked up an OEM version to upgrade my Specialized Camber. The required eye to eye / stroke is 200×51.

The eye to eye is fine but the exposed shaft measures 57mm on my new one. When I install it on my bike, let all the air out of the shock and fully compress it the seal to o-ring measures travel of approximately 48/49mm travel.

Is this normal? Do Fox make the 7.875 x 2.25″ / 200X57 then put a travel limiter / spacer inside to convert it to a 7.875 x 2.00″ / 200×51? Or do I have the wrong stroke length? 😕

Yes it’s normal, they’re the same shock, the 51mm stroke version has a spacer on the shaft inside the body to limit the travel,

Just measured mine on my 26er camber. Bought as a 200×51, measures approx 57mm from seal to shaft end.

Cheers for the information. I thought this might be the case.
