Pre-kids, wasn’t bothered. had pets when I was a kid, but had no need of them as a single / couple.

But, having kids of your own changes perspective on these things…

This is Zero our border terrier who is this very moment at the vets being put to sleep. I suspect that after our boys are in bed tonight, me and the missus will be having a damn good cry. I also suspect that you wouldn’t understand. 🙁

Kerv, really sorry to hear that. I’ve two Springers and would be the same way in your situation…mind you I though differently yesterday. Both decided to roll in something that had been dead for months! I’m sure you’ve plenty of great memories too 😉

Sorry to hear that Kerv, it’s a horrible thing to have to go through. You just have to remember what’s best for the pup, and all of the happy, funny and frustrating times you’ve had together.
