What a night, survived intact and dry but very little sleep. Camping near Dunbar, just wondered if there are others a daft as us!

Aye, but I surveyed a Pyrenean sunrise while sipping on a coffee, before guying the tent we erected last night. Il pleut en Grand Bretagne? 😀

Camp sites all over the country must be really feeling the pinch. We’ve normally been half a dozen times by now, we’ve been once so far this year!!! 🙄

50000 youfs with £20 tesco tents and only a slab of tennants to rest their heads on… Going up tomorrow but camping at T in teh Park’s not that much fun (the price of campfires- hundreds of maimed kids- is worth paying at Reading)

Been blistering in the Lakes today. Not camping… just thought I would share!

You on the Kirkwall Campsite Trail_Rat. Good site that one, and a lot less breezy than Stromness 😉

On Friday cabin fever from a lack of biking and camping had me go off to Wales for the weekend, even though the forecast was crap.

Result: loads of blue sky, clouds above the peaks, surprisingly dry trails and fairly quiet campsites. ‘Twas ace!

Back from a 2 day cheeky camp after climbing Skiddaw on Saturday and Hellvellyn today the ground withstood most of the rain 😉

Anyone survived t in the park ?

We rode past there this morning, it looked like hell on earth. Masses of road closures around there which made for a perfect quiet road ride and we enjoyed the T in the Park breakfast special at the cafe in Powmill.

Got sick of the rain here in melbourne over the school hols so went up to the murray to ecchuca to camp, lovely sunshine, but bloody cold in the mornings, ice in the kettle one morning.
Trouble with camping with the family (other than the limitations for riding time) is the need to unpack and clean everything when you get home.

We just cancelled our family camping holiday to Cornwall. Was supposed to drive over from Austria at the weekend but due to the Met office weather report have decided to leave it until next year. Met office predicting that the next 30 days will continue like the last 30 days!

Flipped between go camping and a last minute sunshine break. Sat here now at Robin Hoods Bay listening to the rain on the tent. Had to make a walkway into the tent yesterday to prevent it turning into a mudfest. Still theres a good pub nearby so all’s not lost

Did Thursday and Friday nights wild camping above Seathwaite – damp and windy, but we had plenty of booze to entertain us. Great swimming too.

Was beautiful sunshine at Nant Yr Arian on Thursday, not so much at Brechfa on Friday, and one tent was in the campsite bin by Friday night. Where’s summer again?
