I've had one since April. I use it for general xc riding. I wouldn't get on for trail centre riding because I don't think it has enough fork travel and it's twitchy downhill.

    Pros
    Climbs well
    Light
    Decent components

    Cons
    Aluminium so a stiff/harsh ride
Awful stock tires (in my opinion)
    Uncomfortable saddle

I would suggest an Orange P7 pro as an alternative

100mm forks not enough travel for trail centres? Chuckle 🙂

    Agree about the tyres though.

I suppose it depends where you're going to ride really. Mostly I've used it on trails at Wharncliffe and at Dolby once or twice and I think there are better bikes if your going to do any serious amount of descending or ride on really rough terrain with a lot of exposed rock, drops or kickers. I've got a bigger bike with more travel too now, so I don't ride the Trek if I'm going anywhere with a lot of features or serious descending, but it's still a lot of fun and it covers ground really fast.

Really well specced. Weighs less than 25lbs.

    Do it!
