    A mate is after some deore or slx brakes for his lad who is just starting biking. Anyone seen any deals?

    Merlin : previous design deores (which are fine for a get started brake) £40 or 62 if you want current model

    Thanks, I was looking for something like the 596 or 615 but for a better price than that if possible. He’s tempted to buy 2nd hand but I think he should be looking at new if they can be had for cheap enough.

    That Merlin price is by far the best price you’ll find for new m615. They’re a bargain brake, even at rrp.
