And is the full "Kitchener" open?
Any one ridden Sherwood Pines this week.....what condition is it in pls?
The "Bike park" was shut on Sunday, along with the parallel "DH" run. Only a couple of trees down elsewhere. One or two big lakes still, but a couple have been drained.
Considering how wet it's been it's not doing too badly.
Take a change of clothes obvs.
what's the likelihood of the DH run and bike park being open next Weds?
I'm off for a pootle with some friends and the GF
Check their facebook page, usually quite good for trail updates
who's facebook page?
Sherwood Pines Cycles.
They do a pretty good job of keeping it up to date.
It wasn't too bad up there until a tornado went through a couple of weeks or so ago & caused chaos!
I'll be heading there at some point next week whilst at center parcs. Will I be missing out on much if I only take my rigid SS mud-buster bike?
Don't like to take the "good" bikes to CP!
rigid SS is pretty much perfect for around there!
Nothing that technical, not rocky ( other than very small man made rock gardens in the 'DH' section)
but miles & miles of tight, twisty singletrack
Sweet, sounds just the job then
Thank you for the info folks
@woody2000 - Aye SS would be good fun round sherwood
Keep an eye out for unofficial stuff or you'll get bored going around the marked trail.
There's so much more in there than most people every find. If you see what looks like a deer track going into the trees-try it, it'll most likely be another little used trail.
