I have just got a Garmin Edge 800 and as we have a no riding policy in Cranham I was looking to go out an explore more of the Gloucestershire countryside on my mountain bike.

Can anyone point me in the direction of any online resources for GPS maps that cover decent routes around Painswick, Cleeve, FOD, Stroud etc

    Thanks

There are quite a few on the cc-cc website:

If you fancy following something less like GPS and more like my back wheel/bottom, there may well be a meet of the STW Cotswold Massiv the weekend after next. Possibly from Bisley, details TBC, watch this space…

Sounds like a possible plan if it is on a Sunday

Have a look at the Vertebrae publishing Cotswolds MTB book, I’ve ridden about half of them in the last 12 months and some are pretty good. Obviously the Cotswolds suffer pretty badly in the wet weather though.

For FoD, use the Fountain Inn (Parkend) website, or drop into Pedalabikeaway for some ideas, or just follow the way marked trails.
