I don't want to spend loads but want something sturdy with a decent clamp, wish I'd got one of the Edinburgh bike coop ones when they were banging them out for £50...

Merlin are doing those for £66 at the moment;

Not as good as the Edinburgh deal, but better than most.

I got mine from Decathlon for £50. It's great and they now do online sales. http://www.decathlon.lco.uk/EN/bike-workstand-53433343/

Got one of those from Wiggle when they were on special... superb bit of kit. Don't delay at that price...

Ribble and Merlin are both advertising that this stand got 10/10 in a recent cycling plus magazine. Which issue was it? Did anybody ready it?
Are these stands identical to the Edinburgh bike coop equivalent that is £80?
Are easy are they to put up and take down?
Thanks

The Park Tool Stand PCS10 and PCS9 are popular with us, particularly the PCS 10. We are expect more of both on Thursday.
Having said this I've had a generic thing which cost me about £60 which does the job and I've had it for years, but it slips around a bit with heavier bikes so I wouldn't want to use it everyday. It's also a fiddle to do up the clamp, but its half the price of the Park stuff.

No worries, mine came next day, very impressed with it and it folds up to keep it well out the way

the merlin/ribble looks absolutely identical to my edinburgh cycle stand which is a quality bit of kit, shame (and odd) that they (edinburgh) have put their price up from £55 just before Xmas to 80 now.
the edinburgh one also got rave reviews including for longevity and theres no reason why a different set of stickers will change things. I store my edinburgh one folded up in its box and it takes seconds to put up.
the magnetic parts tray accessory is totally geek cool too
