I fancy trying out some bikepacking so I’m thinking the Solo looks good for the money.

Anyone seen any good prices, sure I saw then for mid-£20s a couple of weeks ago.

Bivvying doesn’t grab me either but any suggestions for a cheap, light taster tent are welcome.

Go outdoors do a rebranded version in the £20-30 area, depending on sale promo and discount card holder, they have one set up in most shops so you test fit yourself.

I might pop down the road to my local one.

I’m not the tallest of blokes so should be fine, would be good to see how small in the flesh though.

    🙂 they are small.

For the money, the weight, a double skin, it’s worth a punt as a first tent. You could spend loads more for worse.

£20-30 is one night solo in a B&B, you will get loads of mileage out of the tent, and if you burn it down or just wreck it, it’s no great loss and a good learning curve.

acethn- that’s my thinking, good way to get a taster.

They are good for the money, but like sleeping in a cloth coffin

I got one today for a box of beer but I dont spose that helps. Great little tent and fits on a bikerack perfectly.
