Is circa £170 a reasonable amount to be quoted for a total refurb of a late 60s, low-slung, wooden-armed G-Plan chair? We're talking replacement of supports and cushioning and fabric all over, and a bit of attention to the wooden legs and arms.
Thanks.

Mmmm. I'm a curtain maker who has had dealings in the past with upholsteres. That quote sounds about right to me.
However get another quote and definitely look at some of their workmanship before hand.

Good call, Bunnyhop. Thanks.
I'm back there Saturday morning to peruse some fabrics, so I'll take a closer look at the other work in the place.Posted 1 year ago # -
I'm a student furniture restorer and I've got to say that price sounds pretty reasonable. It's amazing how much time and effort goes into these things, and then there's materials. But bunnyhop's right, take a look at their other work.
