Had it leak tested and re-gassed. It leaked in a week. Then the uv dye went in and a seal was changed. It was tested and recharged. It leaked. Just had the dye in again, no leak found. It was re-gassed but now doesn't work after a few days. Works a treat on the way home though so I'm happy the compressor/electrical side of things is working. Anyone ever experienced similar?
ATS are washing their hands of it and telling me I need to go to a specialist.

you have a leak somewhere (obviously) and it's probably a low down pipe (exposed to corrosion) or the condenser (radiator).
Refund and go somewhere else. What car is it?
What did they leak test it with? Should have used nitrogen to leak test and also ensure that it holds pressure for a considerable period before putting any gas in. For the gas to leak out in a week there has to be a hole somewhere!
The main problem if you are a tree hugger is the environmental impact of R134a (the gas that is used) its massive!
When Kwikfit said they couldn't fix my aircon I got a local specialist chap out; it was far cheaper than I thought it would be despite two out of hours visits and lots more care and attention than kwikfit would ever give it. When it next needs doing I'll be getting the same chap out over anyone else whether they could do it or not.
All together now: "Yer can't get thicker than a Quick Fit fitter.... tra la la"

Once again the fast fits screw up the reputation of the motor trade. I despair sometimes - well all the time!
1. Stop using fast fits.
2. They should have used Nitrogen to pressure test the system. UV dye is only required on very slow leaks - seems like you have a major leak there.
3. Find a local specialist.

I have a similar problem, but it is my condenser that leaks.
It can be hard these days to get a "decent" car that does not come with A/C or Climate Control,already specced.ATS definately owe Onzadog a refund.

Can't recommend anyone as I'm not near you.
But you'll probably find the main dealer is short on work and will price match a local garage/fast fit to get you into their business.
It's worth a phone call or popping in if it's near enough.
Common Vauxhall a/c fault is the bottom of the condensor falls apart.
The dye should show up as bright green. Even to the naked eye. You don't need a uv light.
Have a quick look around under the bonnet with a decent torch/bike light.
Make sure you look down the vents in the car as well and at the area the water drains out of when it's on. If you see green speckles down the vents it's an evaporator fault.

Might be of no relevance - but....
If you idle the car warmed up, and turn the A/C on - do you get a rough idle and weird noises? I had this and aircon wouldn't chill. Vaux fixed mine as a recall IIRC on an 07 astra 1.9 CDTI. It was something to do with a screw working loose on the condenser, causing a leak.
Don't know if yours would be the same.
