    Of course he needed to go. Everyone knew about the news night report before it went out, they publicised the fact. Yet, despite the intense scrutiny around, the DG didn’t see fit to ask a few questions first. it would seem that they hadn’t even shown the abused a picture of Lord McAlpine to check it was the right guy!

    The BBC it’s nothing without trust, they have some serious work to do. You can bet the next DG wil not be an internal appointment.
