Just wondering if anyone has found an android app that will direct you according to a GPX file (quite happy if it doesn’t have a mapping function but if it could produce an OS grid ref on request that would be handy).

Idea being to be able to follow a route previously recorded in strava when I have been out riding with others / or on my own in daylight but with minimal risk of taking a wrong turn re running it in the dark.

I may be asking for the equivalent of an orange and purple chocolate flavoured moon on a stick that is made of pink platinum but I figured if anyone knew of such a thing they’d probably be on here.

Have a look at GPX viewer. Its not got all you ask for yet. Buts its developing fast.

If you save the route into ‘my routes’ in Strava, you can then go into your profile in the Strava app on your phone, then ‘routes’. Load it up and you can see where you are on the route. It’s not turn by turn but really helps.

    Osmand+ uses open source maps.

Backcountry navigator if you want OS.

Not turn-by-turn if that’s what you want.

OS do a free app that gives you your OS grid reference when you run it.
