    Just checking out this Russian photographer Andrew Osokin who does some pretty amazing macros of snowflakes. They look so…….. Manufactured..

    I imagine it is related to the molecular/electronic structure of water. At an atomic level there are plenty of regular structures if you are looking at crystals.
