Short answer….No…

My LBS Hayle cycles had these Altura Vortex seat packs in stock so thought I would give one a go! I’ve been after something similar to carry emergency kit in for commuting or taking a group out.

They looked an OK bit of equipment, there was a bit of wobble from side to side when fitted but not massive.
The storage section looks to be able to keep water out well and holds a decent amount equipment. It took all my equipment for riding a group on Dartmoor, emergency bag, storm shelter etc.

I’ve had it about a month now using it on a mix of activities, taking it work, riding with my wife, and on group runs to Dartmoor and trail centres, all seemed well.

Sadly after only a month one of the clips that hold it to the saddle broke, Altura didn’t have the foresight to put the male part of the clip to the removable part of the strap for easier replacement…. Sorry about the focus….

I also noticed the strap that holds it to the seat post has started to split! not the best really…..

To get me around the Dartmoor again yesterday I fashioned a strap I had in my trailer to fit, and it held ok but not Ideal.

So back off to Hayle Cycles to see what Altura after sales are like…. not sure how far I will get as I can’t seem to find the receipt…. 😳

Thought I would post it here incase anyone is looking at one of these…. might be good to look else where.
