Can’t see the point in shelling out an extra £100 over an XT hub. Any other options to consider before i bite the bullet?

I’ve had XT rears and killed them (before I had a shop and mechanics to look after them but they’re still a pain!).

Now I use Hopes (although the alloy freehub annoys) and next wheels will be American Classic – can’t see how it can get any better than them.

I’ll have a look around for a cheap pro2 hub then. Any deals around?

XT’s ain’t quite what they were… Lighter yes, but less reliable for sure… I’ve got an M770 XT rear that’s done probably 35-40 rides now, and it’s on its last legs for sure. I’ve had it apart a couple of times for regreasing too…

Hope hubs… Well, totally servicable ain’t they!

selling as a pair mate, they are currently laced with dt double butted spokes onto d521s (the rear has a small crack in the spoke eyelet) but the front is ok.. very cheap set of wheels or cheap hubs 🙂 best price is £110 posted for the lot 32hole btw
