looking at ditching the camelback for shortish rides.

don’t want my pockets full of stuff

water is easy – bottle and cage

cant have a saddle bag under the seat as I have a reverb, and I only have 1 set of bolts on the frame for 1 cage

was possibly thinking of a alpkit dry bag, but not sure where to put it??

    suggestions welcome!

For “shortish” rides I’d probably not take anything else anyway. Tubeless tyres, well maintained bike and take the risk. For rides with others (I don’t want to be “that guy” who spoils someones elses ride, or sponges tools etc of the group) or anything longer, I use jersey pockets, but I reckon something like the small Alpkit frame-mounted bags would work perfectly.

King Cage cargo cage. Out of stock at Charliethebikemonger at the moment.

    The Specialized EMT/SWAT stuff?

Check beerbabe.co.uk, she’s making me a small frame bag like this.

How about the fuel pod – https://www.alpkit.com/products/fuel-pod

I have the medium and it carries everything I want for a short ride.

As above, for shortish rides go tubeless and take nothing. That’s what I do.

Bought one of these in Morzine. Much better than a rucksack, especially for downhill.

Have an enema before every ride, then store all those pesky essentials in your rectum.

    It’s the ultimate, minimalist choice.
Lube beforehand, obviously – (Roadies may wish to bypass this step if they wish to enjoy even more unnecessary suffering).

Lost a multitool, a pack of jam sandwiches and a showerproof so far, but I’m sure they’ll turn up sooner or later.

Small QR seatpack with the seatpost strap cut off. I use the £5 Areo one from PX. Frame mounted pump.
