If anyone wants some of the alpkit AKdrenaline socks in 8-10 but is male you may discover they are sold out. Cunningly, the womens AKdrenaline also come in 8-10 too.
I've no complaints at all and even the slighly girly greeny/blue on one pair doesn't impinge on my manlieness one bit

well, having just had a look, i'd far rather spend my money on ground effect merino socks. nylon outer for durability, merino for doing what merino does. 'bout the same price too.

Where have you seen them in the UK? Probably being slow but I Can only find the NZ site and at £8 a pair and £9 p&p they seem a tad 'spensive compared to the £9 for two pairs inc p&p from alpkit

until now i'd never really considered socks to be a performance item.
