Any one know what size (thread and length) the 3 allen key bolts/capheads are that are used to fit the clutch cover on a Shimano shadow plus rear mech?

Mine are seized in and I need to drill them out.

    cheers

I can’t find the size listed anywhere but there’s a p-cover bolt set available from Madison…

My apologies, I now get why you want the size and length (I know, dim shit). I’ll whip one out tomorrow morning, take the measurements and let you know.

    Edit : From memory they’re about 12mm x 3mm but better to be safe n all that…

Rather than drill them out (which will fail) try and tap a small torx or spline bit into the hex head and use that to remove them.

2mm hex key would normally suggest an M2.5 cap head screw. M3 is normally 2.5mm allen key. But then shimano do have a habit of getting unusual bolts produced like the small head ones used on HTII crank arms.

Okay, just had the verniers on one I just removed – 2.88mm x 10.34mm

A weird shaped thing, though, not just a standard bolt.
