    Bit of a long shot,

Got chatting to three guys from Norwich around Ladybower today and on the decent down to the ladybower inn one had a tumble,, I was a long way in front and waited a while and a guy who rode past stopped and told me about it and said the rider looked to be ok so i rode on to catch my mate up.

Just trying to find out if you three got down the hill ok and then back to the Linton Travel Tavern ??

Sorry we couldn't hang around but we had to shoot off before that large group that passed us all robbed me of my wine gums !!

A-ha! Thanks for the guided tour Andy – your witty banter and wine gums highlighted a top first experience of Peak District mtb'ing. Unfortunately it was Rich the mtb newbie who had the spill (confidence and abilty mixed up!)front wheel dropped between two rocks stopping bike dead and launching him over the bars. he slid a fair way on his face but fortunately his specialised lid took most of the impact (although it is now fit only for the bin!). Plenty of blood, bruises and gravel rash later we made the pub for some lunch and took a slow drive back to deepest darkest norfolk. Thanks to you and your mate for showing us around and to everybody (walkers included)who stopped to help/offer support. we're hoping to make another trip in the new year so may be in contact for some route plans that cut out some of the pushing up.
thanks again Dan (yep that is my real name!)

    Your Alive !!!

Hello Dan (that was a good guess of mine)

Glad to see you all got down the hill ok..Sorry we shot off but I had to go catch Gary up and I would have been no help at all as I dont do blood so I would have passed out at the side of your mate Rich

I have never seen it so busy up over the route we went on it must have been the warm dry weather

Glad you enjoyed your first trip to the Peaks and yes some of the hills need a push up from time to time but there are lots of routes that you can ride 100% of the time

Just make sure you set of with your lights next time you go up Jacobs Ladder !!

If your up this way agan give us a shout

    Andy
