Heading up to Glasgow on Friday with Mrs-g for a wedding on Saturday morning, will arrive in Glasgow Central for about 2pm, then have no plans for the afternoon or evening.

What is worth seeing/avoiding between the hours of 2pm and midnight, not getting too drunk, so as to be in good shape for an early wedding?

Burrel collection, see it before it closes for major renovations. 10min train from central and it sits in one of Glasgows many abundant parks.

    Riverside isn’t all that.

I Max cinema in the Science Centre. Or there will be a load of gigs on, CHris Cornell is playing in the RCH or have a look at King Tuts. West end is worth a mooch about for some food and a beer or two.

What would you like to do? There’s gigs, live music, casinos, comedy clubs, shows, restaurants, cafes etc. All Glasgow museums are free too.

A suggestion would be take a tube over to Kelvingrove Museum in the afternoon. Then go for dinner in either Finnieston or Byres Road. Then take in a gig or show, a couple of beers and then beddy-baws for your wedding.
