Brought a 2nd hand wheel and trying to work out how to route the cable, the alfine cassette joint pulley is positioned just below the chainstay, can this be re-positioned?
Any photos and tips would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

    Hi

    http://www.muddymoles.org.uk/2008/12/alfine_review.html

Here’s mine. I ran the cable along the TT and down the chainstay (no Much gets in that way) using a grey non drive spacer.

What specifics do you want to know?

I’ll see if I have some more picts around or I’ll take some more. I’m just off to the man cave (garage) to prepare the bike for D2D.

Just cut the cable and run it SS

You get different washers for the axle that hold the wheel at different angles depending where you want to run the cable

For horizontal dropouts you need a yellow washer on the drive side and a white washer on the NDS.

Or is it the other way round…

I’ll have a look on the alfine monkey in the mornin when i’m less pished. 😆

Lol used to be singlespeed but was made redundant after getting the IF 😉 now playing around with all the spare parts I have collected over time,
Have silver, white, green and yellow spacers do I need different ones?
tonyg2003 what colour spacers do you use?

Just back from the man cave. Grey washer on the non drive side to run the cable up the seatstay. Points the arm nicely from the hub up to a gentle run along the seat stay. I only use one washer – never been a problem

not an On One but a Surly frame,

with a tug nut to tension im using a silver serrated spacer just to stop the acorn lock nut running out of thread,
non driveside is a green serrated spacer, which stops axle rotating.
dont run Tug nuts each side as you could end up with your axle turning whilst cycling and a whole heap of s*** resulting from loosening bearings!
