The crown area on a new set of carbon forks I’ve fitted is wider where the crown race fits than the HT on the frame is.

Headset is internal so no extra “girth” is had from a lower cup 😕

This isn’t my set up but the same principle*:

Creates a step thats a couple of MM proud of the HT

Clearly this is only aesthetics but now I have seen it 😈

Oh well ……

Luckily I treat my bike as something to ride….not a fashion accessory 😉 (which is why the worlds worst powder coat finish does’nt bother me either 👿 )

You could use it to transport a small group of migrant workers to their homeland.

Or stop worrying and ride your bike safe in the knowledge no one will notice or care.

With that water bottle lashed to the frame, the headtube would be the least of my aesthetic worries… 😉

now i’ve seen the bike, are you sure aesthetics are a priority?

sod that how does it ride? Nervous?
And good god is it the camera angle or does someone actually point their brake levers even closer to vertical than me? (but then I guess clanging your brake levers off your top tube in a crash/storage/shuttling isn’t going to be a problem for you)

Bugger was going to get the X Lites over the On One forks – would have “looked” better.

Bike will be ridden 😉 rather than carried under my arm in a bag 😆

What about a lizard skin neoprene cover over the top of it?

Or drop the forks down and use a bit of old inertube to smooth the transition?!

Why are you bothered with that anyway, haven’t you clocked the horrible graphics on the frame?
