    Holidaying near Penrith from Friday and looking to “nip” down to Leeds to catch TdF start. Looks like heading east along A66 and then down the A1 is the way to go.

    Any advice on options for parking up the car in or near Leeds – wouldn’t mind jumping on a train somewhere if it gets us right into the centre ( I assume the start is in the city cente…).

    A 66 & A1 should be fine ,
    Look into parking at Garforth or similar on York – Leeds line and get the train in, it will be way easier than trying to drive into the city
