The wife brought home another cat on Friday, from one of the cat-adoption places. On the weekend I was doing a bit of house decorating, which involved painting one of the bedrooms – and I left a window opened there overnight, but not realising the cat got there before I closed the door! So it’s gone…

We’ve been searching for it in about 500 metres radius so far, put some posters around too. But when we first walked out for the search with a small box of treats to rattle gently, then we realised how many cats live nearby (at some points we were surrounded by about 15 of them)! So the question is – would this “locals” let the “newbie” stay in the area for long?

We are going out for a search tonight again. It would be good to know if it’s not pointless really…

You won’t know until you’ve spent a few days searching. It may end up back at a vet / rescue centre is someone finds it and hands it in.

Is it a ginger tom? I’d give up looking
