    Hi All,

A group of 5 of us are planning on heading down to check out the riding in South Wales, having done quite alot of Scotland and North Wales.

Can anyone recommend any good, cheap accommodation in the area?

    Thanks,
    Matt

    I've stayed here – http://www.landaoutdoorcentre.co.uk/ – a few times
    it's always been cheap!

we used Afan Forest Breaks at easter. Sleeps 6. Nice and tidy, did the job. Worked out about £16.50 per person per night and it was only a short stroll to the Afan Lodge where we ate every night!

I'm local but stayed in the Afan Lodge for the Kona mashup and would recommend it.

I've stayed there a few times – worth checking out. It's fairly close to the bottom of Whites Level / Drop Off, so you can head out without the car no problem.

Afan Lodge is great – nice rooms, friendly staff and good food (cooked breakfast included), but there's probably cheaper options out there.

Unless you're going for the DH track then I'd just do a loop of Cwm Carn on your way over, then base yourselves at Afan where there's more trails.
