  • A nice hotel in Derbyshire?
  • Somewhere romantic to take the Mrs, with a bar / pub and nice restaurant, with maybe a pool / spa?

Any ideas, can be an hour from matlock driving?

The Rising Sun in Bamford is excellent.

More of a restaurant/pub with rooms, but a lovely place and the food is amazing.
Chef was a young South African girl, might be worth checking if she’s still there.

    Losehill House

    Hassop Hall

Both have riding from door step

    No riding biking involved

    Loose hill house is great

Hassop looks a bit stuffy and Lose Hill a bit pricey. Liked the look of Thoresby Hall, but its a Warner and its a minimum 2 might stay. Ended up booking at Breadsall Priory (Marriot). Gets good reviews, anyone stayed there?

I’ve been to Breadsall – its Ok but very full of golferists. I’m one so it didn’t much bother me….

We had a ‘package’ with dinner chucked in and I remember it being better than most.
