    Every year at this time of year there are various documentaries and reports on 9/11. It’s been ten years now, is it not about time we just had a day for it rather than lots of tv shows dragging it out.

    It’s been 7 years since the Indo/Thai Tsunami and there is no where near as much coverage of that.

    only when the people are scared can you stampede them into the erosion of civil liberties in the name of “security” it’s always a useful tool to keep the bogey man alive and well in the zeitgeist to enable a government to have more control over the populace.

    I agree that there are considerable differences between a terrorist attack and a natural disaster but …….. If 9/11 had targetted a business centre in almost any other country in the world would there be as much tv time given over to it? I think not.

    27 years since Bhopal which killed 11000.
