my pc991 chain has has seen better days, time for a new-un. kmc chains seem to be everyone’s favorite at the moment and i’m willing to try. problem is i’ve got a silly amount of sram 9 speed powerlinks. will these be ok to use on a kmc x9 chain? if a no…pc991 or hg93 to go with my sram pg970 cassette. sorry for a pap question…sat night tv is shite! especially when happy knackers next to me is in-control of the remote

They’ll be fine, a 9 speed chain is a 9 speed chain. Been using SRAM links on a shimano chain for years.

KMC chains are delivered with “missing link” anyway. That said, if you ever have to use a powerlink for emergency repairs or whatever it should be fine.

Are the 991 chains relaly any better than the cheaper ones? Not sure that I need “outright” performance in this area…
