Any of the Hammer Horror films where a young pigface would catch his first glimpses of female flesh.

A fist ful of dollars
for a few dollars more
and the best bya mile the last of the 3, The good, the bad and the uglyMore Clint,
Where Eagles DareI can watch the films listed on this thread over and over.....wasn't it good when films had plot, character development and (some) decent acting. So many of todays films just rely on special effects and action.

Watched Deer Hunter last night. IF the Director had ended the film where De Niro shoots into the air rather than kill the Stag then I think that would have been THE anti-war film of all time. It gets a little mired in itself after that and labours the Russian-roulette theme.

Anything with Burt Reynolds, especially Smokey & The Bandit and the Cannonball Runs
And of course Star Wars (the proper 3 of them) and Italian Job.Posted 2 years ago # -

Catch 22
The film was gash. The book was great. Just don't read any more Heller - the rest of his stuff was as equally gash as the film of his book.IMO

The Wild Geese
That was BRILLIANT! The end bit where they are running alongside the Dakota trying to get in?

No mention of The Shining yet?
Capricorn One, Deathrace 2000, Cronenberg's 'Shivers'

The film where the car smashes into the side of the train as the 'bad guys' make their getaway is Dirty Mary Crazy Larry; as the crash happens in slomo, the last thing you hear is the girl scream. Most of those '70's films had really depressing endings...
Two of my favourites are They Call Me Trinity, and Trinity Is Still My Name, possibly the funniest westerns ever made, a huge fight between bunch of monks and a load of bandits always has me creased with laughter, total slapstick comedy.Posted 2 years ago # -
No, the best was..
Rumack: Can you fly this plane, and land it?
Ted Striker: Surely you can't be serious.
Rumack: I am serious... and don't call me Shirley.Or..
Rumack: Captain, how soon can you land?
Captain Oveur: I can't tell.
Rumack: You can tell me. I'm a doctor.
Captain Oveur: No. I mean I'm just not sure.
Rumack: Well, can't you take a guess?
Captain Oveur: Well, not for another two hours.
Rumack: You can't take a guess for another two hours?Posted 2 years ago #
