i think the specialized will fit me best with my 6ft 4inch geometry but i would prefer the Canyon. shame!!

just come off the phone to canyon they actually replied to an email and phoned me 😮 they said they have a 30 day no quibble returns 😆

    shall i take a chance??

The Spec in a 61cm and the Canyon in a 62cm have the same geo give or take a few mm here and there. I’m 6’4″ and based on the geo of my last two frames I’d say that the two sizes above would be perfect for you, assuming you have normal proportions.

Of the two I’d go for the Canyon as the kit on it is far superior and the vast majority of people seem to be very happy with their bikes and service.

    Thanks routier.
The trouble is I typed in my measurements on canyons fit guide and it recommend me 60cm Xl. If I went to specialized I would be a 61cm XXl ??

I’m about 6’3″ and ride a 61cm Specialized S-Works. Fits perfectly although, that said, I also ride a 62cm Specialized Langster which also fits perfectly! Fractionally different geometry between the frame types though.

I’ve got a 61cm Specialized Crux too, again different geometry to the road bike but a perfect fit.

And while I’m a big fan of the red S (as you might have guessed from the above bike list), out of your two choices, I’d go for the Canyon. Can’t really go wrong, not with a 30-day no quibble returns policy.

    I’m 6’4” with longish torso.

    I ride a 60cm Orbea with a 120mm stem.

Can I suggest that people post tt lengths rather than just seat tube sizes which are irrelevant in themselves.

    I’m 6’7″ and I have a Canyon Roadlite and it’s been faultless.

I just went for the biggest available at 66cm and it’s great. I am all arms and legs though.

When comparing geometries, a one degree change in seat or headtube angle is about 1.5cm difference in saddle/bar position. Hence you need to take angles into consideration when looking at top tube length.

I’m 6ft 4 and my road bike has almost the same geo as the 61 specialised and 62 canyon. Fits v well and if you have long legs the 230 head tube will not seem tall. I had a 58 specialized tarmac but the front was too low. I think either of your choices will be fine but the canyon is nicer IMO.

I’m 6’5″ and have a 64cm carbon Canyon with a 607mm top tube, 2013 model. I had a bike fit done at the Tri Centre in Edinburgh before I bought it and I can set it up exactly to the suggested measurements. It feels fantastic and rides great, couldn’t be happier. Mate has a Roadlite from about 5 years ago and he still loves it.

6’6″ and ride a 62cm Canyon Ultimate Al. Great bike, crazy good value.

What size would you choose if your inside leg is 92cm ? (6ft 4inches)
