Its Alps time again and I’ve been looking at my crash insurance: my old 661 Kyle strait kneepads look like fishnets so I need some new knee pads for peddaling duties (won’t be using my full length hard-shell POC DH pads). I looked at the POC VPD knee pads (££££!) but I like the look of the IXS Slope-Series EVO Knee Guards. Any thoughts?

I won’t be using my pressure suit & my 661 Evo elbows are too lightweight & slip down when the going gets rough. Again looked at the POC VPD elbows but really want some suggestions for elbow pads that stay stuck on your elbows for the bone rattling descents. Cheers for any pointers.
