In the 6 nations game between Scotland and France I noticed that although the Scots were playing at home they were in their away kit. How is it decided who wears what kit?

I think that as rugby is played by more gentlemanly people, they allow visitors to wear their home kit…it's a politeness thing, in the same way that the winners applaud the losers into the tunnel and vice versa. I think that American football is the same.

Mind I thought the old school English kit was a bit rank! A manky cream (like cricket whites) but obviously it doesn't stay that colour for long at all!

Nah, it will just be a tradition thing. Like it's traditional for them all to touch each other inappropriately after consuming enough alcohol to knock out a rhino when on tour.

As opposed to them touching up each others wives eh MF?

    🙂 @ muddydwarf!

I think it is the case that in rugby it is the visitors who are allowed to wear the away strip. The logic being that the home side are closer to their kit bags and so could nip in and change if there was a clash!

Yeah, that'll be the one. 🙂
