Im starting to wonder if my medium frame is still too long in the TT running a 60mm stem.

Anyone got any recommendations for a lightish trail stem at 50mm? Most im coming across are DH related and weigh quite a bit more than my 60mm.

Failing this she might have to be sold and replaced with a small frame 🙁

Could try 40mm – Truvativs are cheap and functional, tho not the lightest. Going short will improve your steering.

Turbine at 125g is the current one.

My Soul feels just a tad big for my 5′ 7″-8″. Really dont want to get rid and feel the small soul maybe too small.

I got one of these on a s/h bike I bought, really nicely made and just about the right weight/stiffness for me…

The 45mm length might make a more noticeable difference for you too.

At that length (and as you mentioned weight but not cost as an issue) it has to be a Renthal Duo.

I’m running a Thomson which is very nice but if I were to buy a new one I’d be getting one of these Funnduros.

Pro is excellent and cheaper than most of the heavier suggestions above. KCNC HS33 is discontinued I think but also excellent and cheap. You really don’t need to spend much to get a great stem.

RaceFace Turbine is nice (but expensive)
I have a NukeProof 50mm which is stiff, light and not silly money.

The Turbine stems are lovely (I have one on my singlespeed Cannondale project that is going nowhere fast at the moment).

Thomson X4 for on Rune which is light and seems study so far.

Ooh, didn’t know they had a new design.

Far better quality than most of the competition at that price IMO.
