    what rockers+what year, for older ones i found 5.1-5.3 rockers = 80-90mm. 5.5-push rockers = 70-80mm. dw-i have no idea sorry

    5'11", I rode 100mm with in line post – running same on large DW Flux now.

    5'10", Medium horst link 5 spot, 70mm stem.

    Don't suppose that's much help though.

    Err only you can really answer this question? You know your body dimensions (nowt to do with height in this case). Long arms? Short arms? What type of riding? What type of trails? What handling do you like etc?… Do you like snappy steering? Longer stem for more XC head down?… Mid length stem for general cruising?…

    Not having a go, this question always puzzles me.

    Hope you find a good length 😯 😮

    6ft, large 5spot, 140mm fork, 90mm stem.

    Had 5.1 and 5.5 rockers. Stem length didn't change. Longish, but not the longest arms.

    I had a 70mm, but it was too short and twitchy and pushed my cockpit weight bias too far forward.

    In-line seat post too, by the way.

    70mm stem. Rode a 50mm for a while but too cramped.

    I would suggest trying out different ones on your fravorite bit of trail. If you cant test a few, get one just long enough so your knees dont hit the bars, but not longer than that.

    2003 5spot original rockers
    5ft 10
    50mm stem
    710mm bars
    long legs short body
    maybe a bit cramped for the climbs but great for the downs

    2004 5-Spot with 130mm Float.I am 6'2" with long arms and currently running 100mm stem with layback post.

    DW link large frame. About your Height, no idea about your proportions.

    Inline post and 0deg 70mm stem with 710mm lowish riser bars.

    I might try and make it into a sometime enduro bike by temporarily converting using a long (90mm maybe) stem, a seatpost with a little layback and some flat 660mm bars (cut-down salsa) for longer events where technical is not the name of the game but a bit of FS comfort might help.

    Medium DW link, 5ft11.
    50mm stem – slight layback to post.
    Fairly low riser bars fitted – makes the front end really direct and quick with the steering. Would never want a longer stem back on. Previously had 70mm.

    I don't really understand why people ask questions like this – it's personal preference. Try a few different lengths (if your LBS will let you) and go with what you find the most comfortable for you.

    What's right for someone else (even if they're exactly the same size, on exactly the same bike) might not be right for you.

    I think its fair enough to ask to give yourself a starting position although I agree whatever is right will only be when its right for you. More and more people buy frame only and online so the try lots of bits in the shop approach is not going to happen.
