Saw quite a few (obviously hobby 4x4 defender+old range rovers in a convoy in the peaks. All were righthand drive but all had small red-lettered plated with <6 digits. Is this Belgium plates or a new way round something? None had Uk plates dually-displayed.

Trade plates. Insurance & road tax without an MOT.
Ideal for off road-y spudheads

most prob a belgium contigent from a jeep club or 4x4 club
when i was into jeeps had a few belgians and dutch come over , prob doing a spot of greenlaning while here
trade paltes are much more diff to get than trade insurance, so unlikely to see a convoy all showing trade plates
