As the weather should presumably be getting a little milder soon i'm looking to take apart my winter hardtail (on-one inbred) and use some of the parts i have to build up a 4x / dual slalom / woods hacking around bike. However, budget, i'm looking to spend sub 300 on a frame and am taking recommendations on chain devices / single ring stuff where i've never ventured before.

So far through my looking and friends recommendations i've come across things like the Last Rufus and Dialled Holeshot. However the rufus only comes in one size and i'm 6ft 2 with very long legs and other mates have said i've no chance of fitting one. So i was wondering if you guys have anything to say or recommend?
