I’m thinking about 3x xml t6 840lumens 5 mode drop in modules wired in series in a custom enclosure powered by a battery pack containing 3 18650’s.
any thoughts on runtimes, output, lenses, and heat.

I’m thinking about girls in skimpy shorts, although that may well be the fault of that dratted T shirt advert over there >>>>>>>

    😉

Why the hell are you bothering to reply to a posting with such idiotic words.
Nothing sensible to say. Say nothing.
What part of my original post don’t you UNDERSTAND?

    too much coffee?
what you originally posted might make sense in your head, but clearly you’re not not putting it across very well.
being ar5ey doesn’t encourage sensible response. wind your neck in.
anyway. don’t think it’ll work as i think you intend. the modules will want to see the supply without another in series, i’d imagine, so you’ll need to wire them in parallel i’d have thought. what parts are you actually thinking of using?

I think you’re ready for bed.

Not slept for a while? Try turning your lights off!

Ok, sensible answer, 3x T6 LED driven by only 3 18650 cells isn’t going to run for very long.

What is the estimated cost of what you are asking?

    Also Lumens?

After all the faffing about would it be worth while looking at a 2nd hand light and upgrading the inside?

    Well done for trying though.

I guess you’ll always get a few idiots trolling when they’re bored.

It made perfect sense to me.

It will work fine if you’re happy to do the work making it. With the cheap prices from HK, I just prefer buying mine all made up.
I have a 9x XM-L flashlight on the way which will take over from the 3x XM-L one that I use all the time.

You should be fine with 3 battery’s, but it all depends on what sort of runtime you’re after anyway?
In my experience with non-regulated XM-L’s lights, you’ll get usable light for about an hour on high, 2hrs on med and 10-20hrs on low.

Lightman thank you! I knew it made sense too.
I’m assuming the drop ins have their own circuit boards so will regulate
thier selves. I will upgrade my battery as and when it needs to be.
As for costs. The drop ins will be around £15 for all three and at a rated 800+ lumens that’s a lot.
Materials will be either what I have or what I can pick up for free so should be one hell of a light for peanuts.
